News Submission: Activist Group Launches FCC 'Non-Complaint' Campaign

Hello,
I thought you might be interested in this: at CSIFiles.com, a news site
dedicated to the 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' franchise, we just
posted word of a new activist group that has launched a "non-complaint"
campaign to convince the FCC to disregard an indencency complaint
by the Parents Television Council:

http://www.csifiles.com/news/070305_02.shtml

Last week, the PTC filed an official complaint with the FCC over the
CSI episode "King Baby," in which the CSIs travel from a furnished
adult
nursery into the world of infantilism. According to the PTC, this
qualified as "gratuitous filth," and they asked the FCC to levy a
heavy fine against CBS, or even to revoke the broadcast licenses of
its affiliates.

But the new activist group SpeakSpeak.org is fighting back by
providing a form letter on its web site that rebuts every single
point made by the Parents Television Council, and allows viewers
to tell the FCC they were not offended by the episode.

SpeakSpeak
has informed us that over 800 people have already used their site
to send a message to the FCC, and the campaign is generating a lot
of buzz within 'CSI' fandom, so it wouldn't surprise me if for once
the FCC will be flooded by messages from the more liberal side of
the political spectrum.
SpeakSpeak.org's form letter can be found here:

More information on this issue can be found in our original news item:

, while more information about the episode "King Baby" can be found

Sincerely,
Christian
