Most of the public may not care of a man can't see his children and if child support payments are beyond what he is netting weekly. But when the issue is directed from the children's point of view of being deprived of a loving parent, maybe some attention can be raised. When a loving mother is denied the right to see the children that want to see her, maybe her example can be held up to see what is wrong with the system nationally.

Rowlandgate 2?

Rellgate?

I don’t have all the facts and have not confirmed anything. There is allegedly an 800 million dollar bond for Condos to be built in Naugatuck Connecticut. The note is worth 3.2 billion. The mayor of that town is allegedly is to already have been offered a “secret” position in Governor Rell’s administration.

Taxpayers may have to pay back the bond at $20,000 each without interest considered.

The bond is being paid back at 12%, according to my source! Judges are allegedly the main bond holders. What!!!???

Those that owned “target” properties, law abiding, tax paying citizens, were targets of police, DCF, the courts, and private investigators to “soften” up “marks” to steal property for building and bond scams to make the rich richer at the expense of everyone else.

Should public money be used to make private people rich? Are Politicians, Judges, Police, Prosecutors, DCF, and others profiting illegally?

Non-custodial parent issues

Kate del Castillo, one of the biggest stars from Mexico, starring in the upcoming film "Solitary Birds"

Peggy Briggs Brooks is for non-custodial parent issues, fairness in the courts. There are many looking to Peggy to make a national precedent from out of the Connecticut Legislature. Non-custodial issues are primarily about fathers not seeing their children. It should be about children not being further tortured by the judiciary, DCF, over billing and collusion of lawyers, and a corrupt state government. States should not make up for a loss of an industrial base and that lost revenue through scams and the parasitic bleeding of average families. We are looking to Peggy to be the Joan of Arc for what is a primarily Father's rights issues.

Through channels I am looking to collaborate with those in the entertainment industry for a Blockade of Connecticut by the Entertainment Industry until the courts are fair and the official torturing of children ends.

Disclaimer: Peggy Briggs Brooks said that my opinions are not necessarily hers, so I, Steven G. Erickson take full responsibility for the content of my blogs. There are potential heroes that are lawyers, judges, DCF, elected officials, police, and concerned citizens. I want to tell good stories along with the bad.

Will the Entertainment Industry Boycott Connecticut over this case?

[click here] where a blogger/journalist can be on a Secret Police "Enemies List" for posting and writing stuff the Governor of Connecticut and her goon squad [click], the Connecticut State Police, don't like.

or ... even cases like this:

Peggy Briggs Brooks has paid over a million and half dollars on lawyers to see her two sons. They both want to see her and there is no reason she should not see her boys. Lawyers can deliver nothing and bleed you dry. Judge preside over trials where the decisions of who is going to win based on wealth, power, and influence happens behind closed doors before any proceeding begin.

Should your tax dollars be used to destroy children and non-custodial parents?

Should courts of law be a SCAM or a public service?

UK-US in talks on missile defence
US missile test in 2000
The US has had mixed results from its missile tests
The UK and US have held high level talks on the possibility of putting a "Son of Star Wars" anti-ballistic missile defence system on British soil.

An article in The Economist claims Prime Minister Tony Blair has lobbied President George Bush for the system.

But government sources have told the BBC that talks are "to keep Britain's options open", not a lobbying effort.

Russia has said the system, which tracks and destroys missiles launched at the US, will trigger an arms race.

Poland and the Czech Republic have both been approached by America about locating part of the hugely expensive system on their soil.

Secret talks

BBC Defence Correspondent Paul Wood said he had confirmed "secret high-level negotiations" had been taking place.

Talks were continuing between the National Security Council and Britain's top foreign affairs adviser Sir Nigel Sheinwald, he said.

But Downing Street has said talks are at a very early stage, and were intended only to keep Britain in consideration as plans were developed.

Missile defence graphic

David Rennie, from the Economist, told BBC Radio 4's Today programme his understanding was that Mr Blair had "personally led" efforts for silos to be based in the UK, believing it would make Britain safer.

The system uses radar and satellites to detect enemy missile launches and to guide interceptors to their targets.

Shadow defence secretary Liam Fox said the Conservatives would not oppose locating part of the system in the UK, but wanted to examine it in detail.

'Get honest'

"We have had no details at all from the government despite asking a lot of questions in Parliament.

"If the government really do want to maintain what they regard as a bipartisan approach to defence in this country, they better start getting honest with the opposition," said Mr Fox.

Poland has recently confirmed the US wants to use its territory to build part of its missile defence base.

Even if it did work, it would be tackling the wrong problem at the wrong time
Paul Ingram
British American Security Information Council

The US has also asked permission from the Czech Republic and received the backing of Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek.

In 2002, the US withdrew from the 1972 Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty it signed with the Soviet Union.

It says a missile defence system could significantly reduce threats from so-called "rogue states" such as Iran and North Korea.

HAVE YOUR SAY
Missile defence systems like these are already obsolete and incapable of intercepting modern missiles
Tom, Reading

But Paul Ingram, of the British American Security Information Council, said the success of the system was "a long way from being proven".

"Even if it did work, it would be tackling the wrong problem at the wrong time," he told the BBC.

"The proliferation of ballistic missile technology is not as racing away as we are being led to believe. It has no relevance at all when it comes to issues like the war on terror."

Anger over NY 'immigration game'
Washington Square Park
Washington Square Park in New York is the venue for the game
A Republican student group in New York has sparked claims of racism by organising a game called "Find the Illegal Immigrant".

Students will act as immigration officers in Thursday's game and try to find a student in a crowd designated with a badge as the illegal immigrant.

The game has sparked protests from other students with hundreds planning to demonstrate against it.

The New York University College Republican club denied it was racist.

It says the game is intended to raise awareness on immigration issues in the United States.

The winner of the game will take home a gift certificate.

Picketing

The game is scheduled for New York's Washington Square Park.

College Republican campaign chairman David Laska told the New York Daily News: "Is it politically correct? No. But is it racist? Absolutely not.

"You have to do something like this to get people's attention."

College Republican President Sarah Chambers added: "Just because we don't want illegal immigrants being able to completely disregard the laws of our country doesn't make us racist."

The Daily News said up to 600 students were expected to protest.

One message on the website where details of the game were given read: "Let's not be lazy; instead, let's be just as organised as they are and bring out as many protesters as possible. Bring banners, voice boxes, picket signs."

Illegal immigration has remained a key issue at all levels of society.

US intelligence on Iran does not stand up, say Vienna sources

· Tip-offs did not lead to signs of banned activity
· IAEA report raises pressure for new sanctions

The Guardian

Much of the intelligence on Iran's nuclear facilities provided to UN inspectors by American spy agencies has turned out to be unfounded, according to diplomatic sources in Vienna.

The claims, reminiscent of the intelligence fiasco surrounding the Iraq war, coincided with a sharp increase in international tension as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported that Iran was defying a UN security council ultimatum to freeze its nuclear programme.

That report, delivered to the security council by the IAEA director general, Mohamed ElBaradei, sets the stage for a fierce international debate on the imposition of stricter sanctions on Iran, and raises the possibility that the US might resort to military action against Iranian nuclear sites. At the heart of the debate are accusations, spearheaded by the US, that Iran is secretly trying to develop nuclear weapons. However, most of the tip-offs about supposed secret weapons sites provided by the CIA and other US intelligence agencies have led to dead ends when investigated by IAEA inspectors, according to informed sources in Vienna.

"Most of it has turned out to be incorrect," said a diplomat at the IAEA with detailed knowledge of the agency's investigations. "They gave us a paper with a list of sites. [The inspectors] did some follow-up, they went to some military sites, but there was no sign of [banned nuclear] activities."

"Now [the inspectors] don't go in blindly. Only if it passes a credibility test."

One particularly contentious issue concerned records of plans to build a nuclear warhead, which the CIA said it found on a stolen laptop computer supplied by an informant inside Iran. In July 2005, US intelligence officials showed printed versions of the material to IAEA officials, who judged it to be sufficiently specific to confront Iran.

Tehran rejected the material as forgeries and there are still reservations about its authenticity in the IAEA, according to officials with knowledge of the internal debate inside the agency.

"First of all, if you have a clandestine programme, you don't put it on laptops which can walk away," one official said. "The data is all in English which may be reasonable for some of the technical matters, but at some point you'd have thought there would be at least some notes in Farsi. So there is some doubt over the provenance of the computer."

IAEA officials do not comment on intelligence passed to the watchdog agency by foreign governments, saying all such assistance is confidential.

A western counter-proliferation official accepted that intelligence on Iran had sometimes been patchy but argued that the essential point was Iran's failure to live up to its obligations under the non-proliferation treaty.

"I take on board on what they're saying, but the bottom line is that for nearly 20 years [the Iranians] were violating safeguards agreements," the official said. "There is a confidence deficit here about the regime's true intentions."

That deficit will be deepened by yesterday's IAEA report. It concluded bluntly: "Iran has not suspended its enrichment related activities", in defiance of a December UN ultimatum to stop. The report noted that Iran had continued with the operation of a pilot enrichment plant.

Furthermore, the report said that Iran had informed the agency of its plan to install 18 arrays, or cascades, of 164 centrifuges in an underground plant by May - a total of nearly 3,000. At the moment, Iran's centrifuges are being used to make low-enriched uranium, but if they were switched to making highly enriched, weapons-grade uranium, they could produce enough for a bomb in less than a year.

Dr ElBaradei's report said that Iran had so far not agreed to the IAEA installing remote monitoring devices in the enrichment plant to keep constant tabs on what the Iranians were doing with them.

Furthermore, the IAEA still has a string of questions about the Iranian programme that remain unanswered. Until they are, the agency will not give Iran a clear bill of health.

One of the "outstanding issues" listed in yesterday's report involves a 15-page document that appears to have been handed to IAEA inspectors by mistake in October 2005. That document roughly describes how to make hemispheres of enriched uranium, for which the only known use is in nuclear warheads. Iran has yet to present a satisfactory explanation of how and why it has the document.

Last night Iran, which says its nuclear fuel programme is designed only to produce electricity, remained defiant. "Regarding the suspension mentioned in the report, because such a demand has no legal basis and is against international treaties, naturally, it could not be accepted by Iran," Muhammad Saeedi, deputy head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation, told Reuters in Tehran. Mr Saeedi said the report showed that returning to talks was the best way to resolve the dispute.

The UN secretary general, Ban Ki-moon, said he was "deeply concerned". "I urge again that the Iranian government should fully comply with the demands as soon as possible and engage in negotiations with the international community so that we can resolve this issue peacefully."

Occupied Gaza like apartheid South Africa, says UN report

A UN human rights investigator has likened Israel's occupation of the Palestinian territories to apartheid South Africa and says there should be "serious consideration" over bringing the occupation to the international court of justice.

The report by John Dugard, a South African law professor who is the UN's special rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories, represents some of the most forceful criticism yet of Israel's 40-year occupation.

Prof Dugard said although Israel and apartheid South Africa were different regimes, "Israel's laws and practices in the OPT [occupied Palestinian territories] certainly resemble aspects of apartheid." His comments are in an advance version of a report on the UN Human Rights Council's website ahead of its session next month.

After describing the situation for Palestinians in the West Bank, with closed zones, demolitions and preference given to settlers on roads, with building rights and by the army, he said: "Can it seriously be denied that the purpose of such action is to establish and maintain domination by one racial group (Jews) over another racial group (Palestinians) and systematically oppressing them? Israel denies that this is its intention or purpose. But such an intention or purpose may be inferred from the actions described in this report."

He dismissed Israel's argument that the sole purpose of the vast concrete and steel West Bank barrier is for security. "It has become abundantly clear that the wall and checkpoints are principally aimed at advancing the safety, convenience and comfort of settlers," he said.

Gaza remained under occupation despite the withdrawal of settlers in 2005. "In effect, following Israel's withdrawal, Gaza became a sealed-off, imprisoned and occupied territory," he said.

Prof Dugard said his mandate was solely to report on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories and he described as a violation of international humanitarian law the firing of rockets by Palestinians from Gaza into Israel. "Such actions cannot be condoned and clearly constitute a war crime," he said. "Nevertheless, Israel's response has been grossly disproportionate and indiscriminate and resulted in the commission of multiple war crimes."

Strange Days

I was asked some questions today, like would I work for the Connecticut State Police, the court system, the Feds, US Attorneys office etc. I wasn't asked by someone with a job for me in mind, they just seemed interested in my response.

Well, it depends ...

I like to work and there are sometimes inventive, but not illegal ways to get things done. When I was running 4 miles a days and training in high school, I considered the military after taking the battery of tests, scoring a 99. I had friends in Massachusetts and Vermont that were law enforcement. I was impressed with their dedication to service and would have been proud to serve with them knowing how to be a team player and when I should just keep opinions, not facts, to myself.

Chief Justice gets taken to Legislature Woodshed

This is a Constitutional VIOLATION that the nation should take notice of. Chief Justice William J. Sullivan tried to stack the court and legislate from the bench.

He wanted to have Connecticut Judge Peter T. Zarella be the next Chief Justice while he stepped down and still remained on the court.

Crooked politicians and their organized crime friends, judge and prosecutor shop. Whistle blowers get the shopping process too, except instead of getting a soft landing with influence, the influential barbecue the innocent that get in the way.

Sullivan delayed the announcement of a decision that Judges would operate even more in secret and be even less accountable. The author was Judge Zarella and Sullivan did not want that Judge not to not get the top slot just because Zarella is a public and Constitution abuser.

Look at Sullivan's body language. What an arrogant piece of work. He is testifying in front of the Connecticut Judiciary Committee Legislators. It is not like court where a defendant can be held in contempt when they ignore a subpoena to appear.

Sullivan had his buddy judges take a case on how he didn't have testify in front of the legislature as he as a Judge, felt he was above giving any respect to a Co-branch of government, an equal co-branch.

If there was really justice in America William J. Sullivan would be arrested, tried, and hopefully have to serve jail time.

If you acted this arrogant in court as does Connecticut Chief Justice William J. Sullivan, wouldn't you expect to be held in contempt and jailed?

No one should be above the law. Abolish Judicial Immunity. Judges allow corruption and the fleecing of the people by being corrupt and fleecing the public.

It is time to end the free for all for officials, police, judges, and sociopaths like George W. Bush.

The Connecticut Sopranos

New Jersey gets a bad rap, maybe the real organized criminal dirtbags and their friends are on the Connecticut side of New York City.

Dear Governor Rell, [an open letter]

subject: "Anthrax Scam Cover Up Boy", State Police Commish Nominee?

Text: I am posting this on http://starkravingviking.blogspot.com/

What's brewing on the horizon? Is there some political influence, drug lord with judge friends, sex scandal, organized crime, State Police Heads, Sex Slavery, Prostitution, or the Biggest US Fraud ever exposed out of Connecticut making the Sopranos look like the theatrical version of "little league" going to be exposed?

Is Official Connecticut going to surpass "Plunder Dome" Rhode Island's, and the "Big Easy" Louisiana's reputation as being the most across the board corrupt state?

Is there a reason Yale University just took its "Celebrate how good slavery was" paintings out of public view?

Maybe people are now not afraid of coming out of the woodwork. What is brewing out of Greenwich and Fairfield County?

A President's Loyalty Should be FIRST to the People, not to the Military Industrial Complex

Transcript of President Dwight D. Eisenhower's Farewell Address (1961)

Excerpt:
Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society. In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together. "President Kennedy began to feel in the spring of 1963 that there was a possibility for some kind of new movement in our relations with the Soviet Union, and he began to look for an opportunity to make a `peace speech.' That was the way it was described, and this was a project which was kept extremely confidential in the White House. McGeorge Bundy began in a quiet way to get from two or three members of the White House staff ideas which might go into such a speech. Ted Sorensen worked on it.

The President thought a great deal about it, talked with Sorensen and Bundy, made clear the point of view and the ideas he wanted. A draft presently emerged. It was shown to a small group in the White House.

As I recall, the draft was not shown to the State Department or to the Defense Department until the Saturday before it was given.

It was given on a Monday. You may remember the President went to Hawaii, and I think it was perhaps on Friday afternoon that the draft was circulated through State and Defense for their comments. Ted Sorensen then flew with the draft to Honolulu, and the President worked on the final draft on his way back and gave the speech Monday morning."

Neo-Nazi rally was organized by FBI informant

Should Police and the FBI create scenarios to declare mini-Martial Law? What are they practicing to get away with? Does a truck have to hit you, for YOU to connect the dots?

Neo-Nazi marchers and counterprotesters face off in 2006.
(BOBBY COKER, ORLANDO SENTINEL)

Henry Pierson Curtis | Orlando Sentinel Staff Writer
Posted February 15, 2007

A paid FBI informant was the man behind a neo-Nazi march through the streets of Parramore that stirred up anxiety in Orlando's black community and fears of racial unrest that triggered a major police mobilization.

That revelation came Wednesday in an unrelated federal court hearing and has prompted outrage from black leaders, some of whom demanded an investigation into whether the February 2006 march was, itself, an event staged by law-enforcement agencies.

The FBI would not comment on what it knew about the involvement of its informant, 39-year-old David Gletty of Orlando, in the neo-Nazi event. In court Wednesday, an FBI agent said the bureau has paid its informant at least $20,000 during the past two years.

"Wow," Gletty said when reached by phone late Wednesday. "It is what it is. You were there in court. I can't really go into any detail now."

Orlando City Councilwoman Daisy Lynum, whose district includes the march route west of Interstate 4, said she wants to know who was behind the march, the neo-Nazis or the FBI and other law-enforcement agencies.

"If it was staged, I would feel very uncomfortable and would ask for a full-scale investigation," Lynum said. "To come into a predominantly black community which could have resulted in great harm to the black community? I would hate to be part of a game. It's a mockery to the community for someone else to be playing a game with the community."

Others applauded the FBI's infiltration of the neo-Nazis.

"It's one of the largest extremist groups in the country, and Gletty was one of the most visible individuals in the National Socialist Movement," said Andy Rosenkranz, state regional director for the Anti-Defamation League. "Generally, the FBI and the JTTF (Joint Terrorism Task Force) in Florida does an excellent job."

Rally puts city in spotlight

Orlando drew national attention when the city granted a permit to Gletty so a minimum of 100 white supremacists and National Socialist Movement members could march Feb. 25 through the historically black Parramore neighborhood.

Wearing swastikas and holding signs declaring "White Pride," the 22 neo-Nazis who turned out were protected from 500 counterprotesters by about 300 police officers.

Gletty's secret life became public Wednesday in a federal court hearing resulting from the arrest last week of two suspected white supremacists on charges of conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine.

Last Thursday, the FBI arrested Tom Martin, 23, and John Rock, 35, after Gletty wore a wire to a meeting and agreed to help them rob a drug dealer in Casselberry, according to testimony.

Rock told Gletty in a tape-recorded conversation that he and Martin had robbed seven drug dealers by posing as law-enforcement officers, according to testimony. Martin and Rock remain held without bail in the Seminole County Jail.

Slip-up lets name out of bag

Throughout most of the hearing, Gletty was referred to as "Mr. X" or "CW" (cooperating witness). His identity was revealed when Assistant Federal Public Defender Peter W. Kenny repeatedly slipped up and mentioned Gletty's full name.

FBI agent Kevin Farrington and a federal prosecutor were clearly uncomfortable with the disclosure of the informant's name in open court.

Questioned about Gletty's role in the march, Farrington testified that "he participated in it. He did not organize it. . . . [That's] pretty good firsthand information, sir."

The city parade permit, however, lists Gletty as the "on scene event manager."

And pictures of Gletty addressing marchers sporting swastika armbands for the Orlando rally appear on a neo-Nazi Web site. Captions from other photos on the site mock the counterdemonstrators and the police presence.

On another Web site, Gletty details his role in organizing the Orlando event and hosting a victory party afterward.

"On 1/17/06 I got the permits and started the ball rolling," he writes. "On 2/25/06 at 3 pm on saturday [sic] in downtown Orlando My crew and I got it done."

In another part of the posting, he writes: "Since I was the permit holder I was the person to deal with the police and had over-all authority of the event."

No word from FBI

FBI officials did not return calls asking for specifics about the agency's relationship with Gletty. A tree-trimmer in Orlando, he withdrew from the National Socialist Movement last fall to pursue other projects, Farrington testified.

Orlando police Deputy Chief Pete Gauntlett, who supervised the march preparations, would not say what the FBI told police about Gletty and other marchers.

"We let them express their free speech and let them do what they're allowed to do, but we wanted to have control," Gauntlett said.

Bill White, a former spokesman for the National Socialist Movement who participated in the rally and now runs another neo-Nazi group, said he was surprised to hear of Gletty's involvement with the FBI. He said Gletty did a lot for the cause.

A neo-Nazi offers his take

"If he was being sponsored by the FBI, then American National Socialism has a lot to thank the FBI for," White said in an e-mail.

Lynum said that if the FBI was behind the march, she would like the agency to reimburse the city for the tens of thousands it spent to send officers -- including SWAT-team and mounted-unit members -- to police the march.

Adora Obi Nweze, president of the State Conference NAACP in Miami, said she was disturbed an informant set up the march and was working for the FBI.

"That's very troubling that somebody like that would be an informant for the FBI," she said. "You never know what they are capable of. No question, it bothers me."

But Alzo Reddick, a former state legislator who grew up in segregated Orlando, lived through KKK marches and later taught black history, said he was proud of the way the police and the community responded. He was a member of the "Be Cool" movement organized to calm the community before the march.

"I think law enforcement has to walk in some murky places to be where the bad guys are," Reddick said. "Was the FBI informant an activist or a participant? Was he the agent provocateur from the get-go? Sure, that would be part of what I'd like to know."

John F Kennedy -JFK secret society speech

John F. Kennedy Speech, April 27, 1961 The President and the Press American Newspaper Publishers speech on the dangers of secret societies and their influence

On June 4, 1963, JFK signed Executive Order No. 11110. With this Order JFK was on his way to putting the Federal Reserve Bank of NY out of business. 11110 gave the Treasury the power to issue silver certificates. If enough silver certificates circulated they would have eliminated the demand for Federal Reserve notes. If Americans Only Knew

Mission Statement

In a democracy, the ultimate responsibility for a nation's actions rests with its citizens. The top rung of government -- the entity with the ultimate power of governance -- is the asserted will of the people. Therefore, in any democracy, it is essential that its citizens be fully and accurately informed.

In the United States, currently the most powerful nation on earth, it is even more essential that its citizens receive complete and undistorted information on topics of importance, so that they may wield their extraordinary power with wisdom and intelligence.

Unfortunately, such information is not always forthcoming.

The mission of If Americans Knew is to inform and educate the American public on issues of major significance that are unreported, underreported, or misreported in the American media.

It is our belief that when Americans know the facts on a subject, they will, in the final analysis, act in accordance with morality, justice, and the best interests of their nation, and of the world. With insufficient information, or distorted information, they may do the precise opposite.

It is the mission of If Americans Knew to ensure that this does not happen -- that the information on which Americans base their actions is complete, accurate, and undistorted by conscious or unconscious bias, by lies of either commission or omission, or by pressures exerted by powerful special interest groups. It is our goal to supply the information essential to those responsible for the actions of the strongest nation on earth -- the American people.

Action Focus #1

Israel is the largest recipient of US. aid in the entire world. It receives more aid than that given to all the countries of sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, put together.

Israel receives over $10 million dollars per day from the United States, and there is evidence that the total figure is closer to $15 million a day. Yet this information is almost never printed in American newspapers. Coverage of the Middle East in general, and of Israel in particular, virtually never reports this enormous American connection with this region.

Empowered by American money, Israel is occupying land that does not belong to it, is breaking numerous international laws and conventions of which it is a signatory, and is promulgating policies of brutality that have been condemned by the United Nations, the European Union, the National Council of Churches, Amnesty International, the International Red Cross, and numerous other international bodies. This truth is also rarely reported.

Through the money and weaponry provided by the United States, Israel is imposing an ethnically discriminatory nation on land that was previously multicultural. There is ethnic and religious discrimination inherent in its national identity, and a doctrine of the supremacy of one group over all others permeates its political, financial, and military policies. This also is virtually never reported.

There are a variety of organizations and individuals in Israel who are protesting their government's policies, and who are working strenuously and courageously on behalf of human rights and justice. It is their intent to create a just and fair nation with equal rights for all its citizens. They are refusing to serve in the military occupation of the West Bank and Gaza, and are actively trying to prevent Palestinian homes from being bulldozed. These actions are also not covered in the American media.

American support of the Israeli government is against our national interest on every level: It places us at war with populations whose desperate plight we are helping to create, and who, quite correctly, place the responsibility for their sufferings on us. It makes us an accomplice to war crimes and an accessory to oppression. This also is not reported.

In analyzing the American media, we are increasingly discovering a cover-up of appalling proportions. Israel is being protected, the news about Palestinians in particular and Arabs in general is being distorted, and the American public is being manipulated.

We believe strongly that if Americans knew the truth about Israel and Palestine -- about the massive amount of our tax money that is being given away to Israel, and about the human costs of Israel's American-financed militarism -- they would demand an immediate re-thinking of our policies in this region.

It is the goal of If Americans Knew to inform the American public accurately about this area. Most of all, it is to inform Americans about our enormous, and too often invisible, personal connection to it.

Americans, through our blank check to Israel, are empowering the worst elements of Israeli society, and undermining those working for a just, peaceful, and nondiscriminatory nation.

We are driving the violence in this region.
We can stop it.

HOW TO MAKE MILLIONS IN TEXAS WITHOUT HAVING TO DRILL FOR OIL : PRESCOTT BUSH JN
NO TO WAR - AUSTRALIA

George W.'s uncle, PRESCOTT S. BUSH JR. a former vestryman at a Greenwich, Connecticut Church, apparently inherited his father's predilection for acquiring unusual sources of income.

Prescott specialized in Pacific Rim business development. He worked on an $18-million project to build the Shanghai Country Club, a resort complex with tennis courts and golf course. His partners in the enterprise were a Chinese government organization and Aoki Corporation, a Japanese construction company

For his role in planning the undertaking, Bush was to receive 25% of the profits with no initial outlay, zero risk and an absence of operating costs.

(Hmmmmmm, isn't this suspicious? Have YOU ever been offered a deal like this?)

Prescott played the middleman in a $5-million deal in which 40% of a company in which he held considerable stock and was a senior adviser was sold to West Tsusho, a Tokyo based investment firm, which gave Bush a quarter million dollars for arranging the deal. In some countries, this payment would have been considered a kickback.

Later, Japanese police identified West Tsusho as a Yakuza dominated company. Yakuza is a Japanese Crime syndicate, something like our mafia. Ties were also disclosed between Aoki Corporation, Bush's country-club partners, and this same Japanese crime syndicate.

Although Prescott Bush represented himself as an expert on Asian business affairs, he responded to the Yakuza scandal as if he didn't know that Japan had a Mafia. Bush maintained that he was totally unaware that his Mafia deals were originating from some of the world's most ruthless, virulent mobsters.

A logical question arises: Why didn't he look a little closer? One logical answer could be that: "Dirty money looks pretty good from a distance." and "It doesn't hurt that my brother is the President of the United States," said Prescott S. Bush.

Defense Lawyer Charged With Destroying Evidence
Charges Stem From FBI Investigation Of Church Official In Child Porn Case

February 17, 2007
By EDMUND H. MAHONY, Courant Staff Writer

A Greenwich defense lawyer with a high-profile client list was charged with two obstruction of justice offenses Friday by federal prosecutors who say he destroyed a computer belonging to a church music director accused of collecting pornographic images of children.

Philip Russell, 48, of Stamford was charged in a federal indictment with obstructing justice and destroying evidence. He pleaded not guilty in U.S. District Court in New Haven and was released on $100,000 bond.

"My client maintains his innocence to the charges and he plans to continue to practice law," said Russell's lawyer, Thomas Williams. "Mr. Russell is optimistic that if the case is not dismissed, a jury will find his conduct to have been lawful."

Nothing made public about the allegations against Russell asserts that he knew the computer he is accused of destroying was evidence in an active investigation. U.S. Attorney Kevin J. O'Connor said certain knowledge of a federal investigation is not required in obstruction cases under sweeping federal criminal laws originally enacted to combat Wall Street accounting crimes.

"It is now not required that we show that the person actually had knowledge of the investigation," O'Connor said. "You only have to show that an investigation was foreseeable."

Nonetheless, O'Connor hinted that Russell was aware in some fashion that the computer was potential evidence in a criminal case.

"I don't think we have to get into detail in the indictment as to what he knew when," O'Connor said. "I think the underlying assumption is that he was aware of it, which I think frankly is why he was retained."

Russell was charged as the result of events that transpired over four days in early October, according to the indictment.

On Oct. 6, the indictment says, the FBI began a child pornography investigation of Robert F. Tate, who had been music director for 34 years at Christ Church in Greenwich. According to the indictment, Tate lived in an apartment owned by the church.

The next day, the indictment says, a church employee inadvertently discovered pornographic images on Tate's laptop computer. The church retained Russell on Oct. 8 to advise it on firing Tate and, on the same day, seized and secured the computer.

On Oct. 9, the indictment says, Russell and church officials confronted Tate, who resigned. Russell and the church officials permitted Tate to pack a bag and arranged for him to leave Connecticut for California. At the time, the indictment says, Tate removed and later discarded his child pornography. Finally, on the same day, the indictment says, Russell took possession of Tate's computer and "altered, destroyed, mutilated and concealed it by taking it apart."

Tate, 64, of Greenwich, who has pleaded guilty to pornography charges, admitted possessing between 150 and 300 sexually explicit images of children. He faces up to 10 years in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for April 12.

O'Connor said that if Russell is convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 on each count. Russell is scheduled to go to trial April 17, he said.

Russell's recent clients included Andrew Kissel, a wealthy Greenwich developer found slain in his home last year. Kissel was the brother of an investment banker killed in Hong Kong in what became known as the "milkshake murder" because his wife fed him a poisoned milkshake and then bludgeoned him to death.

Russell also represented Wendell Woodroffe, a former store clerk charged last year with spiking bottled grape juice at a CVS store that sickened more than 40 churchgoers in Darien.

An Associated Press report was included in this story.

He became a pilot and flew bombing missions against Japan at 18 years old and he flew 53 missions against Japan. Once his plane was shot down over the Pacific Ocean. Two crew members died but Bush survived. Within a few hours he was rescued and sent back to the United States.

In 1945 he married Barbara Pierce, a Greenwich, Connecticut woman. Bush has a big family of 6 children! Their names are George, John, Neil, Marvin, Robin, and Dorothy. Sadly Robin died of leukemia at three years old. His son George W. Bush is running for President.

A great decision Bush made as President was when he sent troops to Panama and overthrew the government. He captured General Manuel Noriega. Bush also signed a compromise Civil Rights Bill in 1991. Bush also vetoed Family Leave bills twice in 1990 and 1992.

While he was President, the Cold War ended. George Bush also promised that while President, he would be an educational and environmental President but instead, the country had a banking scandal followed by deep recession.

In the Persian Gulf War the US won and 149 allied soldiers were killed and 513 were wounded. The estimate of Iraqi dead was a range of 8,000 to 25,000 and 100,000 killed in action. Bush ran for re-election but lost to Bill Clinton. George and Barbara Bush now live in Houston, Texas.

Big Banking, Corrupticut, and US Senator Dodd

The Banker's Candidate

Dodd Amasses Huge War Chest

Washington Post Staff Writers
Friday, February 16, 2007; Page D01

Connecticut Sen. Christopher J. Dodd has two big jobs. He is a candidate for the Democratic nomination for president, and he chairs the Senate Banking Committee.

They are proving to be a lucrative combination. Among Democrats, Dodd's $5 million campaign nest egg is surpassed only by that of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.), who has one of the most elaborate fundraising machines ever assembled.

Banking On DoddBanking On Dodd
Sen. Christopher J. Dodd has raised millions of dollars from financial and insurance political action committees. These sectors have long liked Dodd's take on legislation, but he has taken some anti-industry positions too.

Dodd's electoral riches can be traced to the banking panel, whose jurisdiction includes some of the wealthiest industries in America -- banking, insurance and financial services. In addition, Dodd's home state is the hedge fund and insurance capital of the country.

But it is Dodd's philosophy, not only his geography, that has made him a cash magnet. Each of these big-money interests applauds his light-handed approach to financial regulation and considers him a reliable friend -- a fact that raises questions about Dodd's viability in a Democratic field even as it bolsters his fundraising prowess.

In recent presidential polls, Dodd has been little more than an asterisk. And his closeness with Wall Street will probably not help him with the liberal-leaning Democrats who tend to vote in presidential primaries, analysts say. "It's not something you would trumpet to primary voters," said Nathan L. Gonzales of the nonpartisan Rothenberg Political Report.

At the same time, the ample donations those connections have fostered will enable him to make his name more widely known. "At this stage, the money primary is the biggest race," Gonzales added.

Financial services companies "will be making contributions to Dodd's presidential run because they can't afford to annoy him," said Melanie Sloan, executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. "Whether or not his presidential ambitions go anywhere, he'll still be the chairman of Senate Banking Committee, and they will still need his goodwill."

Dodd, who was elected to the House in 1974 and the Senate in 1980, has never shied away from collecting funds from financial services companies. Since the midterm elections last year, Citigroup and J.P. Morgan Chase have hosted fundraisers for him, participants said. Insurance firms have held at least three fundraisers for Dodd.

Dodd collected $3 million in the last three months of 2006, outraising even Clinton. Employees of American International Group and Morgan Stanley were among the largest givers. According to the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics, Dodd has raised more money for his Senate campaigns from securities and investment firms than from any other industry.

During an interview last week in his stately fourth-floor office on Capitol Hill, Dodd expressed distaste with the near-constant need to generate campaign contributions to sustain a presidential bid. But, he said, the system being what it is, he is resigned to traveling the fundraising circuit for the next year or more.

He said he will not hesitate to shake Wall Street's money tree, even though he is chairman of the committee that watches over its companies. But accepting millions of dollars from industries that his committee oversees will not affect his policy decisions, Dodd said.

"My record speaks for itself," the senator said. "I haven't changed my tune. I've been, I think, fairly consistent in my views on these issues."

Financial firms have long liked what Dodd has done in the areas of legislation and regulation. "Chairman Dodd is a thoughtful leader in Congress playing an important policy role to ensure an open, competitive and sound global financial services marketplace," said Robert S. Nichols, president of the Financial Services Forum, a Washington group comprising the chief executives of 21 U.S. financial services companies, in typically flowery praise of the new chairman.

"A lot of his constituents are financial services types, and he's always been a reasonable person on those issues," added Bruce E. Thompson Jr., the head of government relations for Merrill Lynch. "Because of that, he's always gotten support from the industry."

"The financial services community would be a logical source of funding for him," agreed Edward L. Yingling, president of the American Bankers Association.

Dodd is a voice of federal restraint when it comes to financial services. He has opposed vigorous federal regulation of hedge funds, many of which are based in Connecticut. He also was the Senate's leading champion of a 1995 law that limited shareholders' right to bring class-action lawsuits against companies for alleged securities misdeeds.

Now, Dodd is leading the charge to renew terrorism-insurance legislation, which makes the federal government a major co-underwriter of insurance against terrorist attacks.

Hedge funds are "a great wealth generator" that if handled properly "will continue to be a tremendous asset," Dodd said. He added that the Banking Committee would probably not hold hearings on hedge funds this year.

"I don't want to be perceived . . . as setting up roadblocks and barriers to something I perceive to be very valuable," he said.

On the other hand, Dodd has taken some anti-industry positions. He helped write the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, which imposed stiffer penalties on accounting irregularities. He has also taken positions on a few narrow issues that anger financial firms but are popular with the populists who usually vote Democratic.

For instance, Dodd said he intends to campaign against predatory-lending practices by banks, which entail charging excessive interest rates on mortgage loans, often to low-income people. He also said he wants to crack down on excessive fees charged by credit card companies.

Dodd has leveraged his committee's jurisdiction to press for Wall Street jobs for low-income workers. In recent weeks, he has reached out to minority voters with a speech at the Rainbow/Push Coalition's Wall Street Economic Summit in New York. At the summit, convened by the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Dodd decried economic inequality and pledged to establish a "working group" to expand opportunities for minorities in the financial services industry.

Since assuming the Banking Committee chairmanship last month, Dodd has held hearings on predatory mortgage loans and high-interest-rate credit cards that burden consumers with unwieldy debt. He is working with Elizabeth Warren, a Harvard Law School professor and consumer bankruptcy expert, and others to roll back those high fees, he said.

"At the end of my tenure on this committee, I want it to be said that the safety and soundness of our financial institutions was not weakened on my watch," Dodd said.

Travis B. Plunkett, legislative director at the Consumer Federation of America, said the group's rating on Dodd has been a "mixed bag." But, Plunkett added, he's effective. "He often ends up on the winning side of an issue."

"We love to have him on our side, and we wince when we're going to be opposing him because he's a very effective legislator," Plunkett said.

* * * *

I contacted Dodd when I was under siege at my Connecticut rental properties in Stafford Springs, Connecticut, in early 2000. I was complaining that small businesses were under attack by police in the courts in America's downtown areas. Drug dealers had free reign, operated with police for revenue collection and asset confiscation set ups, and whistleblowers or those the exposed police misconduct were targets. Dodd was unresponsive. Dodd is just another example of a talking head politician that profits for his job unethically, cares only about friends, cronies, and special interest groups, and does little to even contact or service his constituents.

Why elect such an arrogant windbag? He might even be almost as bad as George W. Bush.

Psychic or Psychopath? Do Bush’s remarks yesterday mean he knows who’ll be President past 2008?

Bush’s speech yesterday

I happened to catch parts of it.

Bush said he is not going to be a party pundit. Well, anyone on the Republican party wouldn’t want Bush’s kiss of political death.

Bush’s strange facial expressions have me concerned. Psychopaths and Sociopaths don’t know how to show human concern for others and don’t know when it is appropriate to do what. They have to copy normal people and if you are not born with it, there is no hiding from a trained eye.

Psychiatrists don’t like to treat sociopaths as there is no cure, there is no fix, and sociopaths are dangerous, even to doctors. Pleasure from pain and arranging for others to suffer is gratification for the sociopath. No one is safe from someone that does not feel the rules apply to them. The sociopaths don’t care about the aftermath of their never ending “retaliation games”. There might be 1 to 6 women in a hundred that are true sociopaths. The range is probably 6 to 10 for men.

What if Bush also does not want to be a “pundit” for the party as he already knows who’ll be President after 2008?

What if Bush feels he can’t step down as he and his “friends” would fear the legal ramifications of their actions?

Talk is cheap, get to know Bush by his actions, and view the fast forward. Do the math. Be scared.

Getting stuck out in the Outback with George W. Bush

Imagine the scenario of somehow getting stuck out somewhere in the wilderness with George W. Bush.

There is enough food for one and co-operation would be needed.

I just don’t see Bush sharing or anyway respecting my space. I never saw Brokeback Mountain, but I think Bush is the type that might not be picky on gender, and I would not trust him to not want something inappropriate.

Bush lied twice under oath to become US President. He said he promised to uphold the US Constitution. Bush has since dismantled it. Bush lied about being brief beforehand about the New Orleans levies failing and then after a news clip was shown of him being briefed. Bush is a liar and worse. Whether or not you believe the WTC disaster was a planned demolition to bolster citizen support for going to war in Afghanistan and Iraq, you would still have to question the moral character of someone that would put our troops at risk by advocating torture. If we say it is ok, then how can we complain when ours are also tortured? It seems there were more plentiful, powerful, and inexpensive hard drugs after we are occupying countries that are the sources for these drugs. Are they cheapest and strongest near US military bases and oil tanker ports?

As a landlord and small business person I have had run ins with sociopaths and psychopaths. They have no concern for anyone else’s needs of or feelings, except their own. They don’t know empathy or how to act so they have to copy someone else’s real emotions in order to pull off appearing normal. I believe both labels fit Bush before he became a pickle, his brain, a factory with alcohol and maybe even “freebase” cocaine which is now known as “crack”frying away. Yes, I believe Bush sucked on the glass dick, a crack cocaine pipe. Most that do that, I assume are permanently rewired. I have heard few adult males almost dying, choking on pretzels, and not being able to even ride a bicycle without hurting himself.

I probably don’t agree with some or most of the political views of other leaders such as Chavez, Putin, or Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, but I would share my food with them in the outback and sleep comfortably knowing they are on the other side of the campfire. I would feel their humanity would be inner and they would just work together to survive.

I would tell Bush I love America and the American people, and that he had to fend for himself and find his own way back.

Bush lacks credibility in the world community, does Iran’s President?

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's interview with ABC
Mr Ahmadinejad said Palestinians should decide their future

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has insisted that Tehran is open to talks on its nuclear programme.

Speaking to US TV network ABC, he said he opposed any increased nuclear proliferation, but said Iran's rights must be safeguarded.

He denied suggestions he sought conflict with the US, saying Iran was "trying to find ways to love people".

On Monday, Mr Ahmadinejad said Iran would defend itself against any US attack on its nuclear facilities.

He was speaking after US officials said they had evidence Iran was providing weapons to Shia militias in Iraq who were attacking the US military.

But President George Bush dismissed any suggestion that an attack was imminent, describing such speculation as "noise" by critics of his administration.

Iran has insisted it will continue to enrich uranium, in defiance of the UN nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Tehran says its nuclear programme is for peaceful purposes, but the US suspects Iran of secretly developing nuclear weapons.

Referendum call

Asked about his attitude towards Israel, Mr Ahmadinejad called for a referendum among Palestinians on their future.

"The right of Israel to exist is a question for the Palestinians," he said.

He referred to the fate of the Soviet Union, which disintegrated because of the decisions of the people, Mr Ahmadinejad said.

"Based on the charter of the United Nations, let the Palestinians decide.

"This is the right of the Palestinians to demand their future. Any decision made by the Palestinians should be respected."

He did not elaborate on what the proposal in any referendum should be, or on whether current Israeli citizens should be included in a vote.

But he accused Israel of massacres, of making Palestinians homeless, and of dividing families by imprisoning many Palestinian men.
