NYC under armed Military Occupation

I was in Grand Central Train Station in the AM of January 31, 2011. I have been seeing armed military personnel, who co-ordinate with police, patrolling Downtown New York City train stations. I thought this was against our US Constitution.

Are we under armed military occupation and most of us don't know it?

The plans to implement martial law in America have been taking shape for decades, hidden behind "Continuity of Government" contingency planning. Now, with public outcry over the banker bailout bill at fever pitch, all of the pieces are in place for the U.S. Army to start policing American citizens.

Excerpt from above link:
In 1878, Congress passed a law known as Posse Comitatus that prohibited the use of military personnel or assets in domestic law enforcement. At the time, it was clear that the act was an attempt to prohibit the military from policing civilians on U.S. soil, as happened in the South under Reconstruction. What has been taking place in earnest since 9/11, however, is an attempt to erode the spirit and the substance of Posse Comitatus so that the Executive branch can effectively 'cross the rubicon' and use military personnel in domestic policing operations.

I'm guessing Egypt has got them quite flustered.

Or more.

I think it is more than Egypt. It is regular fair before that crisis that armed military patrols can be seen interacting with police. I was going to go down to the UN and film protests there, but feared arrest just for filming a protest. We live in strange times.

The soldiers you see in Grand Central belong to the state of New York, not the Federal Government. Those are National Guardsmen on State Active Duty. It's nice to see in harsh economic times like these that the state is willing to give its brave men and women an active duty income to help pay the bills.

Philip,
it is our tax dollars being wasted, AND it is against everything American as long as we have been a country to have armed military troops patrolling America. We the people should not have to get used to armed occupation of a military run by offshore corporate banksters puppeteering our US Government.
